Do you want to progress in an admin role within the NHS?

Are you in a Band 2 or Band 3 admin role within the NHS and want to progress? Do you have the knowledge to gain that higher band role? Hospital Admin Training is here to help you achieve that goal.

18 Week Referral to Treatment RTT is the first of a number of courses we are putting together.  These courses will help you gain the knowledge to apply for the roles of:

  • Waiting List Co-ordinator
    Patient Pathway Co-ordinator
    RTT Validator
    Appointments Clerk
    Outpatient Receptionist

This course will also help with the role of:

  • Medical Secretary
What does this course include?

Our first course is on 18 Week Referral to Treatment.  This course includes modules for different admin roles within the NHS.  It explains how these roles affect the RTT rules.  In addition it highlights typical errors the role can do to help with achievement of the RTT standards.  Role based modules include:  Outpatient Receptionist, Appointments Clerk, Waiting List Co-ordinator and Medical Secretary.

There is also a module on the COVID-19 pandemic.  This includes the rules and typical scenarios that have occurred during the pandemic and how to manage them.  Likewise, there is a module on common data quality issues that certain roles can help to prevent.

What is the benefit of this course?

The aim of this course is to help you understand how the different roles within the NHS affect the achievement of the RTT standards. Both Clare and Nicola have worked in this area for a number of years.  They understand what each role can do to help an NHS organisation achieve the RTT Standards.  If you understand the issues that an individual role can have on the 18 Week RTT rules and can explain this to a potential employer, then you will stand out.  This will then give you a better chance of getting that higher band role.
